Please bring Nightwear, robe, slippers and toiletries for your hospital stay. Please do not bring: valuables such as jewelry, wallets, purses or large amounts of cash.

The hospital has Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Pharmacists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech Therapist, Audiologist, Laboratory Scientists, Medical Social Workers, and Health Record Officers etc. Please call the Corporate Services unit on 08070591395 for more information

The visiting hours on Mondays to Friday starts at 5.30pm to 6.30pm, while on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays is at 4.30pm to 6pm.

Any number of family members may visit but only 2 people are allowed at the patient bedside at any time. So your family can decide to rotate or time your visits.

Patients are only allowed to eat food provided by the hospital. Food from external sources (home cooking, restaurant delivery services etc) is not allowed. LUTH has a varied diet option for patients that include: Standard meals, Non standard meals, Therapeutic meals (low fat, low salt etc) and Continental meals which are all available by request or as directed by their Doctor.

Sliced fruits are not allowed while whole Fruits are allowed based on the discretion of the nurses on the ward

Patients are allowed to bring provisions such as Tea, chocolate drinks, sugar etc but this will also be with the doctor’s authorization

LUTH is a Teaching Hospital that is charged with training future Heath Care Providers (Doctors, nurses, pharmacists etc). The best way for the students to learn is by directly observing their senior colleagues in practice. This type of experiential learning compliments and builds on the theoretical aspects of their academics.
